Gig Review: Godspeed You! Black Emperor at Warwick Arts Centre, 22/10/2015

Before entering Warwick Arts Centre on Thursday night, I had not listened to any Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but I knew two things about the band. 1) They are a post-rock band. 2) They are one of the most critically acclaimed live acts in the world. A Look Back On… My Morning Jacket’s ‘Z’

I first discovered My Morning Jacket through Nigel Godrich’s fantastic program ‘From the Basement’ and ever since I’ve been somewhat hypnotised by their music. Their critically acclaimed, Rolling Stone Top 500-featuring album ‘Z’ turned a decade old a few days ago, so the question has to be asked: what makes ‘Z’ so special?
